Honey Creek State Park

In mid-January, I went to Honey Creek. They were many trails that led to Rathbun Lake. There were many trees, sticks, and lots of rocks. We spent a lot of time on the sand and found a couple fossils in the rocks. Honey Creek Resort was pretty nice, too. There was a nice restaurant, a big water park, and even Dip 'n Dots vending machines!!! I had a lot of fun at Honey Creek and hope to come again.

Project Introduction

Did You Know. . .

Iowa has 62 DNR managed state parks and 15 county conservation board managed state parks.  Each one of these 77 state parks has something unique about them. And over the next year I'd like to experience as much of it as I can!

In Iowa state parks you can do MANY fun activities including: hiking, boating, fishing, camping, picnicking, snowmobiling, bicycling, exploring, and much, much more!!!!

Stay tuned for new posts on my visits to the beautiful Iowa state parks. . .  In the meantime visit the link below to learn more about Iowa's State Parks.
